Our Staff

John Heintz   owner

After working in management in the restaurant business for over 20 years and seeing a need – both commercially and residentially – for window care, John started Bright and Shiny Blinds in 1999. Originally from Oregon, John and his family have resided in Chattanooga since 1995. John’s experience in management has enabled Bright and Shiny to grow and flourish in the past 16 years, while remaining a friendly and honest business with the primary concern of customer satisfaction. When not running the business, John enjoys practicing Kenpo and spending time with his family.

Kevin Glenn   sales consultant

Kevin has been with the company since April 2014. His problem-solving and process improvement skills have been proved useful on unique installation situations. His sales experience is a tool he uses daily. He is fluent in sign language and he is also child and pet friendly. He is married with one son, and two grandchildren. When not selling or installing window coverings, you may find him tinkering in his workshop, organizing his movie collection, or spending time with his two cats, Sammy and Dino.

Chris Heintz   installer

Chris joined Bright and Shiny Blinds full time in 2010, but grew up helping his father’s business since he was 15. Chris graduated from Azuza Pacific University in 2008 with a degree in Philosophy. Chris’s passion for ethics and sustainability help further our commitment to environmentally conscious business practices. When not installing, you can find Chris reading, riding his bicycle, or playing with his dog, Celia.

Macy Licht   apprentice

Macy started at Bright and Shiny in 2015, after graduating from UTC with a degree in Sociology. As a Chattanooga native, Macy has an appreciation for Southern style and is eager to learn from and participate in the family business. When not working, you may find Macy spending time with her husband and young son or playing roller derby for the Chattanooga Roller Girls.
